Boot Leg Gaming

The market is flooded with cheap, crappy gaming devices, many of which are just shovelled full of bootleg games, but sometimes there's more to these devices than meets the eye... that's where this show comes in!

Although many bargain-basement bootleg gaming devices are loaded with stolen software, there are a handful out there with geunine development resulting in original titles, providing games which took some modicum of effort to produce. This series is about discovering those games and seeing if any of them are actually diamonds in the rough... although lets be real, most of them will be trash. :P

This search won't be limited just to standalone devices though, as such titles also exist in the form of individual carts released for proper gaming consoles, or sometimes these games are exclusive to multicarts of otherwise dubious legality. These games can also show up in this series!

While I will be selecting and acquiring appropriate devices for the show on my own accord, and will look at suggestions for such devices to pick up in the future, I'm not the one who will normally be selecting the games to check out, my Patreon supporters will be! Every supporter at the $8/mo Unique Nominator Tier or higher is eligible to submit nominations for the show! The easiest way to nominate games is to choose them from the directories provided here on the website, but nominators can also select game ROMs from any physical bootleg cartridges sold for cash anywhere in the world, provided the games selected meet the appropriate criteria laid out in the "How to Participate" page and are available online to download.

But, just to help mix things up and just like with my other side series, every 50th week I will be selecting the game (or games) to showcase myself!
