The HD mode will be on by default if you watch these new ADG videos here from my website, however, if you watch them on Blip (or elsewhere once I get up to date on YouTube) the HD won't be on by default. Just something to keep in mind since the text and such may look a little ugly without the HD boost. :P
It may not be obvious but when I'm talking about the jumping issues, almost every moment where I'm stuck on a wall for a fraction of a second is a moment where the jumping wasn't working even though I was pressing the button. Same goes for when I clung to the wall and got hit by a projectile. Also, when I slid off that ice wall, I was trying a new approach of just rapidly hammering the jump button but it didn't quite work so well. That said, all prior attempts went even worse. I did eventually get over it by preemptively hammering away at the jump button before touching the cliff and getting a tiny jump right at the top where I clung to, allowing me to clear the cliff. The rest of the level was a cakewalk by comparison. :P
I probably should've elaborated a bit more on the enemies, as there's some interesting enemy designs in place and all of them feel unique and serve a purpose, including a particular kind of "enemy" that can't hurt you and drops treasure when you touch it. There are a couple enemies though that have been blatantly lifted from the Mario games, such as ghosts which only go after you when you're not looking at them and stones which crush you if you try to walk under them.
Many Apogee titles reused assets from one episode to the next. Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure does have SOME reuse, but it's not nearly as bad as in other Apogee titles, with the exception of the enemies which are pretty much the same between all three episodes. Episode 2 doesn't even have a boss. :P
