2017 ArchiveNovember 13th, 2017:With all the action happening on Twitter, Twitch and YouTube, it's no wonder this website of mine hasn't seen a main page update in a while! ^_^; BUT! I have a reason to update the main page now because I've added a new section to the Games Page for any small projects I produce! During the last couple livestreams I hosted on Twitch, I put together a very basic Robotron 2084 clone from scratch in QuickBASIC in under 6 hours of effort! You can find this game (incuding source code) available for download from the new "Small Games" page! :D I also have a project in the works right now called "Soluminite". It was originally going to be a single-screen 2D shooter which I was making videos about, but the video making process was slowing down the dev process and, quite frankly, single-screen 2D shooters aren't very appealing to me. So, I've been redesigning the game into something more and will be hard at work getting the basics of it done over the next couple months so I can get an alpha ready for Patreon supporters to try out! :) I do plan to produce more GMG videos, but to save time and speed development along as best as I can, given how little time I have to make games anymore, GMG vids are only going to go up once every month or two and will simply showcase what I've been working on as opposed to showing it being made as I go along. One other thing: Updating this website is always a chore due to how I ended up making it in the first place, so I'm hoping to redesign the whole thing at some point to make it more modular and easier to make additions to, thus another reason why updates have been sporadic. :P June 5th, 2017:Been awhile since I've had to update the main page! Between YouTube and Twitter and Twtich streaming I haven't really had tons of time to keep the website completely up to date, so I've only been updating the specific things which need updating. However, the reason for the main page update is because I've started a brand new weekly video series called "Gemini Makes Games"! The idea of the new series is to showcase the entire development process of small, solo, indie titles, from the very beginning with a blank design document, all the way to the end when the finished game is released for sale! This series is kind of my way of helping me focus on my projects better so that I can actually get stuff done and release games for all to enjoy. Each season of the show will focus on a single game and each episode runs about 8 to 12 minutes. As for how many episodes it would take to make each game, probably around 50ish, give or take depending on the size of the game and potential sticking points.
